The family of Sean Steven’s a 26-year-old bicyclist that was killed last year In Ponte Vedra, appeared in court Tuesday. Their goal was to seek justice for Sean. The sentence includes Scofield’s license suspended for 6 months, a $1,000 fine, DUI School because she registered a small amount of marijuana in her system and 120 hours of community service in an urgent care facility that treats victims of motor vehicle crashes. Scofield has 28 traffic violations including several DUI’s. Sandra Scofield was given a tougher sentence than the one originally proposed but when you consider the loss of this young man’s life and Scofield’s pattern of irresponsible driving we are saddened to think that she will have the opportunity to be driving again so soon.
