Fatal Hit-and-run accident on Jacksonville's Northside. The hit-and-run driver in the accident left three young adults to die at the scene.The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is requesting your help if you have any information. The fatal accident occurred around 2:04 a.m. on the morning of March 6th on Duval Station Road and North Main Street. The victims were all riding in a dark colored BMW when they were struck by a silver car possibly a late model Ford Fusion. The hit-and-run driver is believed to be a white male. A Good Samaritan at the scene pulled one of the victims from the car the other two passengers were ejected in the crash. Sadly, witnesses report the hit-and-run driver stopped briefly a few feet away from the wreck leaving two victims on the ground and the third victim in the BMW before he pulled away from the deadly scene heading north toward Jacksonville's airport. The victims are John Curtis Carlisle, Jr., 24 years old, Kyle Cassani, 23 years old and Alison Nicole Bushey she was only 21 years old. Jacksonville- A deadly auto accident has claimed the life of a 21 year old Army National Guardsman on Jacksonville's Southside. The accident occurred Wednesday around 12:45 a.m. when the other driver ran a red light according to the initial investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol. Tyler Mapel, was heading west on Beach Blvd. when he attempted to make a left hand turn onto Kernan Blvd a Ford Mustang that was heading East crashed into Mapel after running a red light. The driver of the Mustang is in critical condition the occupants of the Mustang were treated for minor injuries. . Mapel was transported to Memorial hospital where he died shortly after arriving. A young man who served our country has been taken from his family and loved ones all too soon.The investigation is still ongoing. We would not speculate why the other driver ran a red light but we have seen the devastating effects so many times of careless drivers. We hope that by sharing this story drivers will think twice before sliding through that yellow light, we hope drivers will think twice before texting while driving, think twice before drinking and driving. We hope that drivers will realize that speeding may get you there 5 min. sooner or you may never reach that destination and it is not worth the risk. We hope that parents of teen drivers will take the time to talk with their teens and stand firm when they know their teen is violating safe driving practices.
A serious Defective Food Product Recall has been issued by Nestle' serious injuries may result if this product is consumed. Pizza and popular frozen meals are included in this recall many of your friends and family members may be storing in their freezer. Please share this recall. The products that have been recalled include several varieties of DiGiorno Pizza and several varieties of Stouffer's Lean Cuisine. The foods in question may contain small pieces of glass. The recall is limited to certain product codes. The products are currently under investigation but the source of the glass is believed to be spinach which is a common ingredient in all of the products recalled. Consumers brought this issue to the attention of the manufacturer by reporting that they had found small pieces of glass in some of the products that are now on the recall list. No Injuries have been reported. Do not risk your health or the health of your family throw the product away or return it to the store where you purchased the item. A fatal multi-vehicle auto accident transpired on J Turner Butler Blvd. in Jacksonville when a driver carelessly changed lanes according to witnesses. A Toyota Tundra pick-up truck driven by Kenneth Cruz swerved to avoid the vehicle changing lanes. The Toyota pick-up left the roadway and flipped over according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Preston Edwards, 26 years old died from injuries sustained in the accident. Cruz was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. A second passenger in the truck was not injured. The lane changing driver continued on their way without stopping. If you are involved in an auto accident prompt action is required, especially when medical attention is needed.
Jacksonville was the scene of a deadly Hit-and -Run accident Sunday around 2 a.m. that claimed three young lives. According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office the accident occurred on Jacksonville's Northside on Duval Station Road near North Main Street. The three young adults that were killed were traveling west on Duval street in a BMW. The BMW hit a tree after it was struck by another vehicle that fled the scene and was engulfed in flames. The driver of the BMW Kyle Cassani, was a young father of a seven month old baby. His two friends that died in the crash were planning their future together and would have been engaged soon. The young woman Allison Bushey, was a student at University of North Florida. Curtis Carlisle the young man riding with Cassani was working full time and was a student at a local welding school. Carlisle leaves behind two children. Some friends and family members of the victims visited the scene trying to cope with their loss they marked the spot with a poster honoring the victims and sharing their deep felt loss. The vehicle that caused the accident fled the scene and has been identified as silver the front driver's side would have damages according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Investigators.
