Yulee, Florida was the scene of a fatal auto accident Saturday around 6 p.m. on I-95 right at the Georgia Florida line. The victim was a 12 year old girl. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Ruth Binkley was driving South on I-95 when she steered into the emergency lane and then abruptly steered back into traffic striking a Chevrolet Suburban causing the Suburban to flip over. The victim Grace Force, was ejected from the Suburban she was riding in. Grace Force was transported to the hospital where she died. The other passengers in the Suburban were treated for injuries which appeared to be minor. Binkley and her passenger did not appear to be injured. Florida Highway Patrol did not know what caused Binkley to swerve the investigation and cleanup kept the southbound lanes of I-95 closed for hours. Two northbound lanes of I-95 were also closed just south of St Marys Georgia. A difficult weekend for friends and family of the victim it is a solemn reminder as we approach Memorial Day weekend a time when accidents increase on our highways.
