The mass shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando has shaken our nation with grief. The victims, their families and friends are not facing this devastation alone. The strength of our communities, the concern of our medical professionals and the goodness deep in the heart of Americans continues to shine in this dark hour as we unite to help the victims and their loved ones. The Orlando community has reached out with food for the victims and their families. One Blood was encouraged by the success of their blood drive in the aftermath of the shooting. The outpouring of concern has included large corporations giving monetary donations while golden retrievers were transported to help the victims and their loved ones with emotional healing, a long list of restaurants in the area are donating proceeds from their businesses to help the victims. Delta, Jet Blue and Alaska Airlines is offering free flights for the immediate families and spouses or domestic partners of the victims. Contact the airlines for details and exclusions. Delta is offering free flights to immediate families of the victims and designated loved ones of those killed or injured. Delta Cargo is coordinating with local funeral homes and eagles Wings to waive Delta transportation fees for the deceased. A family center has been established in Orlando at the Camping World Stadium, formerly known as the Orlando Citrus Bowl, to provide resources to those affected. Delta team members from Reservation Sales and Airport Customer Service are on hand to provide in-person assistance. In addition, Reservation Sales has established a dedicated telephone number for travel support. The assistance team includes colleagues who have received training through Delta's Care Team program.
